About Ken

Mad about monsters

I have always been incredibly fond of creature features and it all stems back to that fateful time my dad took me to see the prehistoric fantasy film ONE MILLION YEARS BC, which featured the amazing stop-motion effects of Ray Harryhausen. From then on I was hooked and I continue to love the anticipation of watching a monster movie (or TV show) and wondering what beautiful beasties await!

Stuff I’ve done

I write and edit the magazine IMAGINATOR. This is a publication focusing on monster movies (surprise!), sci-fi and horror flicks, fantasy and cult movies, plus Asian genre productions.
I co-created the six-part BBC entertainment show STOP! KUNG FU! (2001), a series hosted by Jonathan Ross, featuring a delirious deluge of awesome kung fu movie clips.
I wrote the screenplay for KILL ‘EM ALL (2012), a violent, fight-filled martial arts action thriller starring Hong Kong movie royalty Gordon Liu as the kung fu-skilled villain. Currently I am also the editor of FILM FRENZY magazine.

Devoted to every kind of movie and TV monster, from King Kong to Godzilla, from the Blob to Alien. Plus monsters from other media too, including books and comics.
